Our pumkin had two teeth just like Paul!
The month of October was great for our family! Our recent happenings have been playing in the park, PT, speech therapy, attending the molasses festival, eating baby food, hanging out with friends and family, snuggling, playing with Ruby the dog, going to church, walking around the mall (Paul loves people watching!), and of course Halloween.
As many of you know, last month we were checked in to the hospital for enterovirus. This was HORRIBLE and it took a long time for Paul to bounce back which was scary. This has made us much more careful with how we let folks interact with him. Before the virus we were ok when folks came up, gave him five or talked with him- now we tend to shy away from strangers and it is kind of hard to do since Paul is so friendly. We are also limiting the amount of time we spend outside the house. The very best thing you can do as part of our extended family is to get your flu shot and be concious of your health.
Recently, we have started to wean the feeding tube a bit. This means Paul needs to eat 2 3 ounce jars of baby food a day by mouth and we have stopped feeding him at night. We are practicing swallowing formula and trying hard to be patient. Of course we want to be done with the tube immediately but it takes a lot of time and a lot of effort from us and Paul. Slow and steady- we are getting there.
Halloween was such a great day! We drove around to see grandparents and went to church for a bit and had lunch with a dear friend. Paul was a scary green monster for actual Halloween and the day before he was a spooky skeleton. He was not so sure about the costumes but it was a wonderful time!
We wish all of you a beautiful November. We are thankful for you!
