Cardiology on Monday
I can not believe it has been so long since we last posted. We have been very busy chasing after Paul. He is getting into everything and loving time at home with Dad. He has faired well through a few viruses and has been a typical toddler in many ways-playing, swimming, exploring, falling and getting back up again. We have been weaning Paul’s feeding tube and its going fairly well. He is still getting about 300 calories through the tube each day and most of his fluid but other than that eating solid food many times a day on his own. During the wean in the last 6 weeks- he has remained at a steady weight which is a good thing, it means that he is starting to keep up by himself with what we have taken from the tube. Its slow and steady and we’ve had a lot of good support. Paul is enrolled in speech therapy as he still is not talking yet. He has also had some noisy breathing when walking and running but we are getting used to it. We have had so much fun being as normal as a family as we can over the last few months.
On Monday, Paul goes to see Dr. Parra in cardiology clinic. Here, he will have an echo and ekg and general check up. We are asking for prayers that all looks good with his heart and lungs. We pray for excellent heart function and a miraculous report all around. Thank you all for following Paul’s story and for joining us in praying for a long and happy life for our little warrior.
